This is Sam. He is looking for a forever home. |

Bitty : Our "Silver Dollar Tabby" female. Bitty has cost us over $4500 in vet fees. She was horribly ill with upper respiratory and intestinal infections when rescued, and only weighed 5 ounces! I weighed her in a measuring cup on a kitchen scale. What an UGLY little thing she was. We did weeks of bottle feeding, medicating, and TLC... Bitty doubled her weight during her first week with us. She has survived the initial infections, a severe intestinal obstruction, chronic ear infections, and very deformed "Female Parts" that were found when she was spayed. She turned out to be a magnificent Silver Tabby. And what a BEAUTY she is! Bitty is "Momma's Rotten Kitty" and sleeps in bed between Pat and Shelley. Bitty was born around March 1997 |

Jay : A charcoal tabby male. His littermates, Crosley and Marble are pictured below. We adopted the entire litter to help Bartok out after his brother died. We had PLANNED to adopt them out, but all three are so very sweet and affectionate that we were unable to do so. Jay now weighs 20 pounds, and is a lover kitty. He adores being picked up, and scritched, and is begging for a tummy rub in this picture. Jay was born around August 1999. |

Crosley : Crosley is Jay and Marble's male littermate. He is a solid inky black, and just ROTTEN! Hard-core snuggle muffin... Crosley is Pat's cat, and would live in Pat's lap if allowed to do so. He's a bit smaller than Jay at only 18 pounds! Crosley was born around August 1999 |

Marble: Marble is a Charcoal Tabby. He stayed ill the first 6 months of his life with a chronic upper respiratory infection. I think we're finally done with all that. It did stunt his growth a bit, as his head is small in proportion to the rest of his body, and he's only about 16 pounds of cat fat! He has a problem with seasonal allergies, and his annual sinus problems coincide with my husband Patrick's. Marble is aggressively affectionate, and if he wants attention, you had BETTER give it to him! Marble was born around August 1999 |

Lilly : Lilly was a "Failure to Thrive" kitten brought to us by one of our girls' boyfriends. It turns out that she has 3 different severe heart defects, which is why she was rejected by her mother. There is no medication or surgery that can help Lilly, other than a heart transplant. The vet just tells us "Keep on spoiling her"! Although not as energetic as the other cats, she's a real sweetheart. She is still teeny-tiny, at only 4 pounds. Lilly is our "Forever Kitten". The vet refuses to put her under anesthesia due to her heart condition, so she cannot be spayed, but there are no intact males in our household. By all rights, Lilly should not have survived kittenhood. She was born around August 1999. |

Pandora (AKA Doodles ) : Doodles is a female calico with a heartbreaking story: Patrick was driving waaayyy out in the country, when he saw a cat on the shoulder of the road that had been run over. However, he saw movement, so stopped to see what he could do. There was an adult "Mom Cat" who was dead. The movement was her tiny 3 week old baby, who was crying, and trying to wake up Mom Cat to feed her! Poor Pat spent almost an hour walking around with the crying baby, hoping to lure out any littermates, but he never found any. He tucked Pandora (covered with blood) into his shirt to bring home. After a gentle exam, (and a bath), we found she was free from injury, just HUNGRY! We did have to bottle feed her for a few days, but she caught on to the saucer quickly. Of course, she has imprinted on Pat as her mother, which is quite amusing. We had an unplanned pregnancy, thinking Dieter was too young to "Do the Job"at 6 months old. Ooops... Click on the link for a cute pic of Doodles feeding her 2 kittens. Ziggy and Scribbles were the babies. Doodles was born in December 1999.. |

This is Austin, Dallas' brother. Same story. When we first got these two, they were so wild, that when approached, they would flatten out like wild baby animals in the grass, trying to hide. Problem is, they were on carpet... Austin has been a harder nut to crack than Dallas, but the other day, he did a few figure eights around my ankles, then threw himself on his back for a belly rub! He came to ME for a belly rub! Maybe there is still hope for this poor little guy... He was born about August 2000. |

This is Marvin. Betsy brought him to us when he was about 6 weeks old because "You don't have a gray cat"... <sigh> He's gray all right, gray fur, whiskers, nose, paw pads, etc. I believe he has some sort of gray goo inside him instead of blood. He's VERY gray! He's a sweet cat, but he's a pisser. He pees on everything! He's neutered, and we have tried everything, including Feliway, but he still pees. He was born about May 2002. |

This is Corey. He was an orphan, so was a "Bottle Baby". He loves everybody! This is without a doubt, the most affectionate, loving cat I have ever had. He was very sick with coccidiosis when he was found at 2 weeks old. He almost died, and required weeks of heavy medical care to survive. The people we got him from called him "That ugly little Graham kitten". Can you imagine this beautiful baby being called ugly? They said he looked "Like an alien" when he was so sick. You'd never know it now. He likes to give out "Hugs". He puts a paw on each of your shoulders, and snuzzles your chin. Corey will also fetch and play catch with his favorite jingle mousie toy. He's just a darling boy! He was born about April 2004. |

This is Reid, aka "Reid-Weed". Betsy was doing some electrical work on Reid Street in Charleston, when she heard a kitten cry coming from a vacant lot. She looked, and saw a tiny kitten, about 7 days old, in the tall grass. She left him alone, assuming his Mom would be back shortly. She came back, 3 hours later, after a heavy rain storm. Tiny Reid was still alone, crying, but now wet and cold also. Obviously, something had happened to his Mom-Cat. Betsy brought him to us. His eyes were open, but his ears were still closed, and he had no teeth at all. We figure he was about a week old. He did well with the bottle and KMR, and is now weaned and running all over the house. Just like our other "Bottle Baby" kittens, he LOVES people! Reid was born about September 19, 2004. |

This is Monty. Monty is our semi-permenant houseguest. He is Pat's brother's cat, but is not able to stay with him due to his traveling work. Monty is a Manx and a "water cat". He frequently joins us in the shower. He also enjoys the catporch and rough housing with Corky. Monty was born June 28th, 2004. |

This is Blossom. Blossom came to us VERY pregnant from another rescue group. After she gave birth to 8 kittens, and they were weaned, we decided that she had had enough kittens for a lifetime and took her into our house. She is a rather plain black and white cat, so would have been a 'hard adopt'. The rescue we were fostering her for took care of homing the kittens, and we decided to give Blossom the forever home (and spay!) she deserved. She has shown us over and over again how grateful she is. She is a very sweet cat and loves to be held and cuddled. Blossom was born July 21st, 2003. |

This is Corky. Corky is a flame point Siamese and is a beautiful cat. He was rescued by our daughter Betsy. Unfortunately, he didn't work out at her house, constantly trying to get out and causing other problems. We had two older females that needed a "quiet home" and traded out with her. Now Corky is happy, and the other two cats are happy. It all worked out very well. Corky enjoys playing with the other younger cats here, and as soon as his eye has healed, we will post better photos. Right now, we are nearing the end of an 8 week long battle against a calci-virus infection of his right eye. The vet finally had to resort to suturing Corky's third eyelid shut to create sort of a natural bandage. It looks like both the eye and his vision will be saved, thanks to Dr. Gamble at Oakbrook Veterinary Clinic in Summerville. Corky was born Sept. 2004. |
Saturday night catnip party! All of our cats love a good pile of catnip. We grow our own during the Spring and Summer. And yes, I know we have a cat door in the bedroom door, but if you look at the carpet near the door, you'll see why! Please note that *ALL* of our cats, with the exception of Lilly (for medical reasons) have been neutered. They are also up to date on all of their immunizations. The vet loves us, and we love them. Special thanks to the staff at Oakbrook Veterinary Clinic in Summerville, SC 843-871-2900. Please spay/neuter your pet.

Views of the new Cat Porch, as seen in the CatCam at the top of the page. The cats love it!
